Personal
Matt is a proud home-grown resident of the Columbus area. I live with my wife, Cheryl, and our daughters, Kaitlyn and Kimberly. I graduated from St. Peter's Lutheran, Columbus East High School, and Ball State University. While at Columbus East I received the Outstanding Business Student award. Cheryl was a 4th grade school teacher for 10 years with the last 6 spent at St. Peter's Lutheran. Her father was a Lutheran school principal for 30 years while her mother is the organist at their church in Ohio. My parents are also born, raised, and worked in Columbus most of their working years. I grew up on a small 40 acre farm. There I learned the value of hard work. In fact, picking green beans for Harry Whipker from the ages of 9 to 19 helped to pay for my college tuition at Ball State. I also spent time working for the Boyer Machine and Tool family and Dorel during the college years. Those values are life lessons I will always treasure and they have laid the foundation for my current career's success.I enjoy church-related activities, outdoors, sports, taking pictures, traveling, participating in the Indianapolis and Louisville mini-marathons with Cheryl and friends.
